Course Evaluations
from freshmen students

Here are some comments we have found on past course evaluations that best describe how FYC has affected first-semester students:

  1.  This class helped me to realize what major I wanted to go into.

  2.  The Faculty Instructor spent time outside of class to help me with any problems I was having. That meant a lot to me because I was very intimidated of professors at the time.

  3.  Very helpful, informative, well-organized course.

  4.  Meeting with the advisor during class time helped me pick classes for next semester.

  1.  I liked my student instructor very much. It was really nice to hear from someone going to KSU currently and from someone close to my age. Many props to our Student Instructor!

  2.  Advising sessions with FI were the most helpful. I feel she has helped me understand what I am interested in a lot better.

  3.  Instructors were very helpful and friendly. They were always knowledgeable about the university.
  1.  Course was well done, it gave me a reality check about what college was all about.

  2.  Class helped me make the transition from high school to college, and the lessons were effective."

  3.  Getting to know new classmates was wonderful.

  4.  I thought it was nice to have two instructors who seemed to care and actually knew my name.

  5.  Just learning about the university in general was a huge help.
