Kent State University The department cooperates with the other departments of the college in administering the Educations Testing Service Exam in Business. In addition, we have designed a one-page questionnaire which is mailed to graduates of our undergraduate programs from one to several semesters ago, through the services of the university Career Placement Center. This questionnaire assesses currency of our instruction, availability and accessibility of faculty for academic and career advising, relevance and hands-on aspects of our curricula, and degree of intellectual challenge we offer. Results are analyzed by the six separate undergraduate programs. Further, we use results shared with us by Career Placement of employer evaluations of our graduates. Use of these results has not been made in a major way yet. The university process of evaluation is only one year old, and the results which will be of more use to our department are those which we will get from Career Placement, which have yet to be returned. This data will be especially helpful to us as we continue to revise our undergraduate programs. Since major curricular changes are anticipated, it will be meaningful to draw comparisons both in terms of contrasts between old programs and new ones and then as the new programs progress. |
