Kent State University We have already implemented our plan by participating in the Business MFAT with the Marketing and Administrative Science Departments. The annual results will allow us to compare the performance of our Finance majors with the performance of other business students in five subject areas covered by the exam. Hopefully, Finance majors will do better on the Finance section than will students from others majors. Also, we hope to be able to compare how our students perform compared to students in similar programs at other universities. The results of our first experimental offering of this exam showed our students performing above national average. With respect to the Survey of Graduating Seniors, we have several objectives. We want to identify aspects of our program that students see as problem areas. We also want to find out what seniors found to be particularly impressive or interesting. Also, we are interested in the experience of our students in the job market, as nearly as can be determined from graduating seniors. It is our hope that such information will help us to identify problems that need to be corrected and opportunities for improvement. |
