Top 5 Things You Must Do to Join the Kent State Community
Here are the top five things we recommend to all students:
-
1.Join a Broomball Team! Kent State students flock to the Ice Arena on campus each season, competing for the championship cup. The Kent State University Broomball League is a coed, intramural sport organization located at the Kent State Ice Arena. All Kent State University or affiliated university students, graduate students, faculty and staff are eligible to compete.
-
2.Paint the Rock! (Front Campus along Main Street) Kent State students take pride in recognizing their organizations, relationships or university by painting the rock.
-
3.FlashFest! Each year, Kent State students look forward to the early May tradition of FlashFest. First-year students are encouraged to check out the live bands and energetic crowds that gather during the first week in May.
-
4.May 4th Memorial: Every Kent State student should visit the May 4th Memorial. The memorial is divided into two distinct sections, which are located in front of Taylor Hall and behind Prentice Hall. Go and experience a part of Kent State history.
-
5.Sledding Down Front Campus! Each winter when the snow falls, students head to Hilltop Drive. Grab your sleds and join them. There is sure to be a crowd!
