Kent State United for the Gulf Coast provides aid to the citizens of the Mississippi and Louisiana Gulf Coast region affected by Hurricane Katrina through the skills and talents of Kent State University students, faculty, staff and friends. As we continue to support the residents of this region, we are providing the Kent State community with unique educational experiences and opportunities for personal enrichment, through organized volunteer trips, fundraising activities and additional service projects. These efforts represent a lasting partnership between the university community and the residents of the Mississippi and Louisiana Gulf Coast region, and they exemplify the Kent State University strategic principle of "Engaging with the World Beyond Our Campuses."
